How about a Yog'Apéro?

How about a Yog'Apéro?
Julie Healthy Cooking - Yog'Apero

How many have ever thought of yoga as a way to relax and unwind after work? And how many have preferred to join friends for a drink rather than do the Downward facing dog posture?

Basically, yoga and aperitifs have the same goal, don't they? To relax. So the Café Oz Toulouse team decided to combine the two! There are a lot of activities that can do you good like going for a walk, seeing friends, watching a movie, enjoying a good meal... So why would practicing yoga do you more good and bring you more benefits?

The benefits of yoga are so many, here are some of them:

Yoga helps reduce stress

Practicing yoga is all about giving yourself a moment to yourself. A moment where nothing will interrupt us and clutter our mind. The mind is at peace, far from the worries of everyday life.

Yoga improves breathing

Stress speeds up breathing, so the lungs are less full and the blood lacks oxygen. This makes you tired and therefore less productive and therefore more stressed. You get it?

In yoga, the mastery of breathing is fundamental. It allows you to refocus on yourself and therefore learn to control your breathing in moments of anxiety or tension with your boss for example.

Yoga improves concentration

To maintain a posture like the Tree pose for example, your mind needs to be 100% present. So if your thoughts start to escape, you lose your balance and thus the maintenance of the posture. You learn to make the emptiness around you and this can be very practical also on public transport.

Yoga improves your strength and flexibility

Yoga is a spiritual activity, certainly. But by practicing the different postures it is the muscles that are strengthened. Yoga will therefore make you physically stronger and increase your flexibility through gentle work. Who said that you have to lift weights to build muscles?

With the coach Julie Lopez (@julyhealthycooking) we give you an appointment on Thursday March 26th at 6pm for a yoga session at Café Oz Toulouse. To register, just send an email to yogapero@cafe-oz.com. Don't delay! There are only 30 places! More info right here
